Jula Hotell AB consists of Skara Konsthotell, Skara Stadshotell, Gysinge Herrgård, and Gyllene Uttern. In May 2021, the historic Gyllene Uttern became part of the hotel chain. A hotel chain that is truly on the rise. Gyllene Uttern is a four-star facility featuring hotel rooms with lake views, a beautiful restaurant, a coffee house, and conference rooms. Here at Jula Hotell, we work together and we are where the guest is.
We are now looking for a chef for Gyllene Uttern who wants to create unique taste experiences in a growing hotel chain as a chef at our fantastic hotel in Gränna!
Chef for Gyllene Uttern
If you dream of developing in the role of a chef, have the opportunity for a career, and want to work in a fast-paced environment with wonderful colleagues, this is a chance you should not miss!
Your employment offer
As an employee at Gyllene Uttern, you will receive a salary according to agreement, access to wellness benefits, and several discounts. You will be part of a competent team that collaborates and develops each other. You will receive support and assistance from an engaged Head Chef and be offered a stimulating work environment where you can feel comfortable and motivated. As the chain constantly develops and grows, there will be exciting career opportunities for the right person in the future.
Your tasks
As a chef, you will create not only exquisite meals with your colleagues in the kitchen, but you will also have fun and share yourselves. You will thus be highly involved in creating an environment where both staff and guests thrive.
Your main tasks will include working with à la carte, larger bookings, and lunch. You will work in a fast-paced environment with high service and assist in other stations as needed.
In this role, you will be creative and work with the details that bring together the hotel and the surrounding area on a plate. Our ambition is to work as much as possible with local producers for both food and drink and to cherish the creativity that exists in the kitchen.
A common goal is that we should be where the guest is to provide the service our guests remember and want to return to. This requires a high level of engagement from everyone working at the hotel.
Worth knowing
The position is a permanent full-time employment that we start with a 6-month probationary period. Working hours vary between days, evenings, and weekends.
Gyllene Uttern has a collective agreement with Unionen and HRF.
Our expectations
We are looking for someone who loves to cook and especially innovative dishes based on the season and ingredients, all to surprise guests with a taste experience.
To work as a chef with us, you need to have:
- education relevant to the position
- previous work experience in hotels, conference facilities, or restaurants
- good knowledge of Swedish
- ability to work in a structured and organized manner
- ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- experience working in a varied environment where challenges are seen as opportunities
You place great value on your interaction with guests and your colleagues, which means you have good communication skills, enjoy taking responsibility, are self-driven in your work, and are not afraid to step in where you are needed most at the moment. You have an eye for detail and delivering with extra care is in your nature.
How to apply
We are conducting interviews continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline, which we have set for January 11, 2026. Questions about the position can be directed to Hotel Manager Mattias Tambour at [email protected]
We look forward to receiving your application soon!
