Warm welcome to us at the habilitation clinics for children and youth in Eslöv-Lund! Here you get the opportunity to work in a stimulating workplace with high competence and a good collaborative climate. Do you want to be part of our dedicated team? We are currently looking for a new occupational therapist.

The habilitation is for individuals with permanent disabilities and their relatives. The disability may be due to mobility impairment, intellectual disability, and/or autism. Our services are aimed at children and young people up to 17 years old and are based on interdisciplinary family-centered teamwork, which means that families have full participation in the planning and evaluation of interventions.

At the habilitation clinic for children and youth in Eslöv-Lund, we are over 30 employees with various professions such as psychologist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, social worker, special educator, dietitian, nurse, doctor, leisure consultant, and medical secretary. With great commitment and broad competence, we work every day to get closer to our vision that individuals with disabilities can live a good life based on their own choices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your tasks involve contributing to increased ability for activity and participation in everyday life based on the individual’s needs. You do this by analyzing needs and providing advice, support, and treatment regarding daily activities. Furthermore, you assess needs, prescribe, and trial technical and cognitive aids, as well as participate in the assessment and adaptation of the family’s home and other premises, such as preschools and schools. You guide and support the family and other individuals around the child/youth and participate in group training initiatives.

Planning and evaluation of interventions are done together with the child/youth and family, the interdisciplinary habilitation team, and individuals from other areas of operation. Many interventions and contacts with the patient, family, and their network take place remotely, such as via 1177, video, and phone. As an employee with us, you also contribute to the development of the organization and a good work environment.

Upon employment, you will receive introduction and guidance from experienced colleagues in the unit and in the area that supports you in your daily work based on your previous knowledge and experience.

The working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30. Evening shifts until 18:30 are required on Mondays. Your placement is at our clinic in Eslöv.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed occupational therapist with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. Since travel in the job may occur, a valid B driver's license is required. We consider it meritorious if you have experience in habilitation work, working with children and young people with disabilities, or have otherwise worked with individuals with disabilities.

To be successful in your role and thrive with us, you are a person who places great importance on children and young people being heard and that their views are taken into account. In your work, you are self-driven, proactive, and flexible. You find it easy to collaborate, enjoy working as part of a team, and are happy to share your knowledge and experiences. Furthermore, you thrive in a complex organization, are courageous, and dare to be autonomous in your decisions based on the frameworks and guidelines that exist.
