Welcome to the Intensive Care Unit!
We at the Intensive Care Unit look forward to welcoming you who want to work with us in the summer of 2025!
We operate a general intensive care unit and care for seriously ill and severely injured patients of all ages, including children. The operation runs around the clock. Each year we have approximately 2,000 patients, of which about 600 are intensive care patients. Others include postoperative patients as well as CVK and epidural catheter insertions.
As a nursing assistant/care assistant with us, you are part of a professional intensive care team consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and physiotherapists. We meet people in one of life's most critical stages and have a meaningful and developing job every day. We work on continuous improvements in patient-centered care and work environment to be a workplace where you can thrive.
When you start with us, you will receive an introduction over 3 weeks, which includes, among other things, shadowing and theory.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nursing assistant/care assistant in the intensive care unit, you will work closely with patients who are seriously ill and have a high need for care. This includes constant monitoring, daily hygiene, respiratory care, and mobilization. The work also includes care for postoperative patients and assisting with various procedures.
Working hours are day/evening and night.
Since the training period is three weeks long, it is desirable that you can work at least four additional weeks during the time period.
QUALIFICATIONS
Primarily, we are looking for someone with nursing assistant training, but you who are a nursing or medical student and have previous experience in healthcare or care are also welcome to apply.
The work requires good communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with colleagues and other partners. To be able to meet the specific needs of our patients, it is important that you have a well-developed empathetic ability and enjoy being close to patients and their relatives.
You thrive in a structured working method and can independently take responsibility and prioritize between different tasks on your own initiative. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
