Role Description

Our Visitor Experience team ensures that our guests experience our genuine, warm, and welcoming atmosphere at all our various meeting places within IKEA in Älmhult. We interact with our guests at IKEA Museum, IKEA Hotel, Meeting Center, Activity House, and many more places in Älmhult. We also share our IKEA heritage through inspiring stories about our history, life at home, home decoration, and design. We give our guests a behind-the-scenes look at IKEA and our brand.

You guide them to all our exciting places in Älmhult and/or provide them with a guided tour through IKEA's history.

Your main responsibilities:

• To make all guests feel welcome and ensure that their experience is the best possible, regardless of where in Älmhult you meet them.
• Coordinate activities that contribute to the guest experience and meet the guests' needs.
• Provide professional service and be able to share in-depth IKEA knowledge as well as introduce the guest to Älmhult as a destination.
• Conduct guided tours.
• Understand visitors' needs and expectations and take responsibility if unforeseen situations arise.
• Handle payments at our various meeting places.
• Ensure that all areas are in good condition on a daily basis.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who loves to provide service and create memorable guest experiences. You always focus on the guest and want to exceed expectations. You are passionate about IKEA's brand as well as our culture and values. You are a natural communicator who can easily communicate with people, both individually and in large groups, in both Swedish and English. We prefer that you have previously worked in the service industry and have good knowledge of digital tools and systems. You are a natural problem solver who sees opportunities for improvement rather than problems. And of course, you share our passion for IKEA's history, culture, and values!

Competency Requirements:

• A passion for providing all guests with the best possible experience.
• Fluent in English and Swedish, both spoken and written. If you have good knowledge of German, we see this as an advantage.
• Ability to make decisions and prioritize in a hectic environment.
• You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with others.
• Swedish work permit, making you eligible to work in Sweden.
• At least 18 years old.

Additional Information

We are now offering several part-time positions (approximately 80%, but contract hours may vary) on a temporary basis during the summer for the period from June to August 31. Training may begin at lower contract hours during evenings and weekends in May and June. Our schedules follow the opening hours of our operations. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and night as well as weekends. All our operations are located in Älmhult.

Our recruitment process includes a group interview on-site here in Älmhult during the evenings in March on the 10th, 17th, and 19th. The group interviews will be held in Swedish.
