JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you looking for a meaningful summer job where you can truly make a difference? As a personal assistant, you will have the chance to support a person in creating a safe, structured, and active everyday life. You provide support in daily routines and activities, contributing to a good summer for the client.

As a personal assistant, you perform personalized support for the client in their daily life. We have clients with varying needs, and as a summer substitute, the nature of the work may depend on who your client is. This can involve everything from providing educational support and social activation to being responsible for medication and tube feeding - all tailored to the client's needs. Job tasks may include:

• Providing personalized support in the client's daily life.
• Accompanying the client at home and during daily activities, as well as assisting with daily routines and personal care.
• Participating in leisure activities.
• Being responsible for educational support and care, depending on the client's needs.
• Social documentation and time reporting in our digital systems.
• In collaboration with the assistant group, unit manager, and educational developer, contributing to the development of routines and working methods for your client.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is a calm, secure, and positive person interested in working with people. You are proactive and solution-oriented. We see that you are comfortable working independently, as the position involves a lot of solitary work, and you have a good ability to handle stress. To follow the client and enrich the summer together, you need to be independent and able to participate in various physical activities such as swimming and spending time in nature.

Competency requirements:

To become a personal assistant, personal maturity, an interest in people, and a natural sense of responsibility in your work are required. We place great importance on personal competencies, as the interaction between you and the client is paramount in the role. Since the work requires communication and documentation, we expect you to speak and write very good Swedish.

Meritorious competencies:

If you have a high school education such as the child and leisure program, health and care program, or a completed or ongoing YH education in pedagogy or another relevant field, this is meritorious.

Experience as a personal assistant or in other roles working with clients in need of personal support. This includes experience working with support measures for people with autism, educational methods such as low-arousal approach and clear pedagogical methods. It also includes experience in care, such as lifting techniques, tube feeding, and medication.

For some clients, it is required that you can drive the client's car, so having a B driver's license for manual transmission is meritorious.
