Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We have a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we tailor our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Gimo and Österbybruk Health Centers are looking for a General Practitioner

We operate in Gimo, Österbybruk, and soon a newly built health center in Alunda, expected to be completed in 26/27. There are many areas to specialize in with us. We have child health care, youth clinics, maternity care, and more. Do you have other areas you want to develop? We see the opportunity!

Your assignment

With us, you will work in close collaboration with all professions at the health center. Your tasks will consist of outpatient work with acute and planned visits, rounds with our skilled Diabetes/Heart Failure and Asthma/COPD nurses, and rounds at nursing homes may occur. It also includes supervision of medical students and AT/ST/BT doctors as well as some on-call duty, approximately once a month.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a specialist doctor in general medicine with Swedish authorization. You have a good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written, which means language skills in Swedish corresponding to level C1. You enjoy working in a team with other professionals close to the patient and would like to contribute to the development of the operations.

You are driven and interested in supervision, teaching, and working in a team. You have a desire to try new technology and new working methods to best meet our patients and together with the team create an even better working environment. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Our operations

Gimo health center with its branches Alunda and Österbybruk has about 12,000 registered patients and approximately 60 employees. We have a great interest in education and research, especially for our own staff, which is highly appreciated by both nursing and medical students, AT, ST, and BT doctors. With us, flexibility, interest in development, and providing good service to residents are highly valued. All professional areas within the health center's mission are represented, and we also have a youth clinic. For you, there are great opportunities to be involved in shaping the operations and taking responsibility for certain assignments or operational areas.

Gimo health center is centrally located in Gimo, 50 km northeast of Uppsala. Alunda DSK reception is temporary, and we are now building a new health center in Alunda. Österbybruk Health Center is a small family-oriented health center also located 50 km northeast of Uppsala.

There are good commuting options to our health centers by bus and car.
