Almunge Health Center

Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We have a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Welcome to us at Almunge Health Center!

We are the small health center with big opportunities and are looking for someone who wants to develop together with us! We are now offering a permanent position full-time or part-time, with the working hours discussed based on the applicant's preferences. There is an opportunity to combine the role of physiotherapist with a 30% role as a rehabilitation coordinator (REKO). Start date is according to agreement, and a probationary period may apply.

Your Mission

Your tasks will consist of primary assessment, treatment, follow-up, and training of both youth and adults with symptoms, diseases, and injuries in the musculoskeletal system, central and peripheral nervous system, as well as psychosomatics. This will partly take place within the framework of the clinical processes defined by primary care, which we actively work with.

As a physiotherapist, you have independent responsibility for assessment and treatment at both individual and group levels, where the choice of measures should be based on available evidence and existing guidelines. Currently, a training group is conducted in a nearby gym via the health center. There are good opportunities to develop and start additional group activities in the future, such as osteoarthritis schools or other groups based on interest.

As a rehabilitation coordinator, you work to facilitate return to work and to prevent and optimize sick leave from a patient perspective. A large part involves development work around sick leave, rehabilitation, and team collaboration. You have many internal and external contacts with doctors, employers, and authorities.

We actively work to develop our working methods and hope that you want to contribute to the development work to provide our patients with even better care and treatment.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is a licensed physiotherapist; experience in primary care is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have training in OMT, MDT, and/or BK. You understand the importance of good patient flows at the health center, and the work requires that you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in teams with other professionals, but also that you have the ability to work independently.

As a person, you are clear in your communication and structured in your work approach. You are creative and enjoy thinking outside the box, which can also be implemented in practice. You have good pedagogical skills and can easily create contact with both patients and colleagues. Personal suitability is of great importance.

If you have experience working as a rehabilitation coordinator and have received training in the area, that is an advantage.

Our Operations

We are the small doctor-led health center with big opportunities and are looking for someone who wants to develop together with us! We are located in fresh premises in the countryside in the eastern part of Uppsala municipality (25 km from Uppsala). Free parking is available right outside the health center, and the bus stops right outside as well. Here, all professions work closely together to provide the best possible care, and you can become part of our team!

Together, we have about 5000 listed patients, and we are over 20 employees offering most services within primary care, including child health care. We have very good doctor staffing and also have well-functioning nurse-led clinics. At the health center, we work to provide our patients with the best possible care. We value a good and stimulating work environment with personalized solutions.
