Do you want to contribute to the future of healthcare through education?
Are you passionate about learning, competence development, and patient safety? Do you thrive in a dynamic and creative environment where pedagogy, clinical experience, and development work meet?
We are now looking for an educational leader at the Clinical Training Center (KTC) who wants to help develop training programs that strengthen healthcare competence and contribute to increased patient safety.
Our Operations
The Clinical Training Center (KTC) Region Uppsala is one of Sweden's largest clinical training centers and the region's central organization for clinical skills training, medical simulation, as well as digital learning and educational support.
The operations are conducted in modern and functional premises with a wide range of training equipment. Here, both healthcare personnel and students can develop their skills – from CPR and basic clinical procedures to advanced interprofessional simulations in a safe and secure environment.
Our primary clients are Region Uppsala and Uppsala University. The assignment includes planning, implementing, developing, and managing training programs that strengthen competence supply within healthcare for both newly introduced staff and more experienced employees. All training is based on evidence, current research, and applicable guidelines, with a clear focus on patient safety.
Your Assignment
As an educational leader at KTC, you will help implement and develop training programs that strengthen competence and patient safety within healthcare. In this role, you will combine pedagogy, practical implementation, and development work in close collaboration with colleagues, support functions, and operations.
The work is varied and involves being an instructor in areas such as CPR, TUB (Early Detection and Treatment), SMART (a simulation method), and various forms of skills training. You will also contribute to developing and further enhancing educational content and materials based on the needs of the operations. The work is carried out both independently and together with other actors within and outside KTC. The assignment also includes coordinating the Professions Step. In this role, you will contribute to further development, maintain planning and implementation, and serve as a contact and support for managers, supervisors, and participants.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a license in healthcare and several years of clinical professional experience. You have a genuine interest in education and pedagogy, as well as a good ability to express yourself in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. Experience in training others, preferably as an instructor, is an advantage.
Your Competence
You work in a structured manner, plan and prioritize effectively, and enjoy combining operational work with administrative tasks. You are curious, creative, and solution-oriented, have good collaboration skills, and contribute to an open and professional work climate. You adapt your communication to the needs and conditions of the recipient. Personal suitability is of great importance.
We Offer
We offer a permanent full-time position starting 240406 or by agreement. With us, you will work in an engaged and knowledgeable team and help develop training programs that make a real difference for healthcare and patient safety. You will receive benefits that matter, read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/).
