Together with a large company in the automotive industry in Umeå, we are currently looking for an electrical engineer. The assignment is part of our staffing services, which means you will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant.

Job Responsibilities
As an electrical engineer at our client, you will be a key person in the team responsible for electrical design within customization for part of the product segment. You will work with customized solutions in low volume, including demos and the introduction of new technologies such as alternative fuels, e-mobility, automation, and connectivity. The role also includes working with special solutions for the defense industry.

You will lead and participate in electrical design activities from the concept phase to industrialization and drive technical solutions in close collaboration with other functions.

Your main tasks

• Develop and document cable harnesses and power cables
• Design cable routing and harnesses based on specifications and CAD tools
• Develop technical solutions, identify improvements, and propose new solutions
• Be responsible for the product structure of the cable harness and technical release
• Drive technical dialogue in cross-functional collaboration with design, production, purchasing, and suppliers
• Contribute to continuous improvements in working methods, innovation, and team development

We are looking for someone who
has a university degree in electrical engineering or similar. You have work experience in electrical design and have previously worked with tools such as Saber. Experience with 3D tools like Creo or Catia is a plus.

As a person, you are self-driven, structured, and naturally take responsibility for your tasks. You are curious, proactive, and enjoy taking the lead in technical matters. You find it easy to collaborate, build trust, and create good relationships both internally and externally.
