Psychologist for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Contact Center in Västerbotten

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Contact Center in Västerbotten is a consolidated contact pathway into care for children and adolescents aged 0-17 with mental health issues. We strive for good accessibility and to ensure equitable assessments throughout the region. The operation also includes evidence-based and equitable treatment for children and adolescents and their guardians in Västerbotten.

We are now looking for a psychologist for the evidence-based digital group treatment for parents at the primary care level in Västerbotten, focusing on the most common reasons for seeking help: worry/anxiety, depression, concentration difficulties, conflict-proneness/aggression.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a psychologist at the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Contact Center in Västerbotten, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel secure. You will primarily work in a team with psychologists and together with colleagues lead digital parent support groups.

You will also partially work on receiving and assessing incoming phone calls and referrals for children and adolescents with mild, moderate, and severe mental health issues. This involves providing advice and support as well as assessing the need for care at the appropriate level. Patient contact will be conducted digitally through digital care meetings and by phone.

It is important that you, together with the team, develop a close collaboration with the primary care units in Västerbotten, as these units schedule patients for the group treatments that you and your team offer. The workplace is located in Umeå, and you will be part of a team working with similar tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed psychologist. Significant emphasis is placed on previous experience in treatment work, especially group treatments for children and adolescents with mental health issues within healthcare. Experience with digital care meetings is an advantage.

You are confident in yourself and your professional practice. You work well independently while also having good collaboration skills. You are proactive and eager to advance the operation and enjoy working in a team. As a person, you are resourceful and flexible and enjoy finding solutions. You have excellent computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You have a strong sense of service and a good approach.
