Job Description

We have a strong focus on operational reliability and energy, and your expertise will be crucial for us to meet future challenges and goals. The operations unit currently consists of technicians, energy optimizers, and an operations manager. We are divided into different competencies, with a shared responsibility for the operations unit's results. The position is located at Borås Hospital.

Your primary responsibility as a ventilation technician will be the supervision and maintenance of our air handling systems, troubleshooting, flow measurement, adjustment, optimization, and all other tasks related to ventilation.

In this role, you will also work with all aspects of plumbing in a hospital, such as water supply, heating, cooling, medical gas, drainage issues, pool maintenance, etc. You will plan, monitor, and carry out operations and maintenance within your area of responsibility, together with others in the plumbing group. You will have technical support from colleagues and our technical managers, as well as the Plumbing Operations Coordinator. Naturally, you will also perform other tasks that are part of our overall mission in the area of operations and service.

You will eventually also be part of the plumbing group's on-call duty, which means that work will occur outside of regular working hours, but you will be based at home. The response time during on-call duty is 1 hour, even in tough weather conditions.

Qualifications

To thrive in this position, we see that you are a self-driven, solution-oriented person with a high service mindset and strong customer focus in your work approach. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues as well as tenants. Since the role is technically demanding, we prefer that you have a knack for learning new things, which is a key trait for this role.

To succeed in this position, we also see that you have:

• Technical high school education in ventilation or post-secondary education equivalent to vocational training in operations and maintenance or property management, with a focus on ventilation, or equivalent education/experience deemed comparable
• Several years of documented experience in similar tasks, but also in plumbing and property technology/maintenance.
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Good computer skills in the Office suite and experience working with digital tools
• Possess a B driver's license

If you have experience working in a hospital environment or other large facilities, it is an advantage. Knowledge in control systems, OVK, unit aggregates, adjustment, cooling in ventilation, active components, overarching property systems, cooling competence, and other property technical areas is also advantageous.
