Do you thrive in a flexible and independent role where you plan and manage your own days? Are you a measurement engineer, service technician, or service engineer looking to take the next step in your career? Then we have the job for you!
We are now looking for a new colleague in the Control and Calibration department for the Gothenburg area.
About us Control and Calibration within RISE offers measurement technical services to both industry and commerce. Calibration and recurring checks of various measuring instruments are the foundation of our broad service offering. The majority of our operations consist of accredited services, and we also work as a notified body. Control and Calibration primarily operates under ISO 17025 and 17020. There is a high demand for our services, and the business is growing. Our specialized employees in the field are spread across the country, from Luleå to Malmö. In total, we are about 70 people within the Control and Calibration department that you will belong to.
About the role Your tasks include calibration and recurring checks of fuel pumps and scales in retail and industry. Checking vehicle-mounted radar units may become a significant part of your assignment. The checks are performed on-site at our customers' locations. You are also expected to be a resource that can cover where needed, which may periodically involve travel across Sweden.
An important part of the job involves being responsible for contact and developing relationships with new and existing customers.
We offer an independent job with great influence where you plan your work based on the needs of the business. All training is conducted internally with the help of experienced colleagues. Your colleagues in nearby districts form a team with you. You will work from your home, which will be your base, and you should therefore have your residence in the Gothenburg region. Travel for work occurs almost daily, so you need to be flexible as overnight stays away from home may become common, as most of what we do is out in the field.
Who are you? As a person, you are quality-conscious and have a strong customer focus. You are business-oriented and trustworthy. You enjoy a varied and independent work environment. You have good social skills and are adept at building relationships. Furthermore, you need to have a good ability to independently plan and follow up on work, be goal-oriented, and have a structured approach. A good technical understanding is necessary, and you are not afraid to tackle tasks you have not faced before.
Requirements:
• You have work experience as a traveling service technician, service engineer, installer, or equivalent experience, with a habit of daily contact with customers.
• You have a technical education at the high school or university level.
• You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• A B driver's license is required.
Meritorious:
• Experience from testing and calibration operations and from similar activities within control/calibration.
• Experience working with scales, fuel pumps, or volume meters.
• Authorization or competence in electrical work.
• Driver's license with B96 or BE authorization.
