About us We are responsible for the operation of the district heating plants in northwestern Stockholm, which are part of the northwestern network. Our main facility is Högbytorp, where we operate and further develop a modern, resource-efficient, and sustainable plant. We are also responsible for Säby and Slammertorp with associated pumping stations. Together, we work to ensure a safe, stable, and long-term heat supply – around the clock, year-round. With us, you will be part of a team that values collaboration, care, and a supportive work environment.

About the position As a shift leader for one of our shift teams, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are operated in an optimal, safe, and careful manner. Your work will alternate between leading the operations at Högbytorp Combined Heat and Power Plant, Säby Plant, and Slammertorp's heat pumps, ensuring they are operated in line with expectations through collaboration with operations planning and coordinating tasks such as rounds and operational measures in the facility.

Through the operations control center, you will also be responsible for managing alarm monitoring and emergency call-outs for external facilities, in accordance with agreements with our colleagues in the local Asset Management organization.

A central and very important part of the role is delegating tasks to your shift colleagues. The role also includes responsibility for the work environment, where you as a shift leader will be trained in the area to gain a deeper understanding of your leadership responsibilities and ensure that the work is carried out safely, structured, and in accordance with applicable guidelines, through well-considered decisions regarding resources and methods within the operations area.

The work is conducted as continuous shift work, including daytime weeks. During these shifts, you will be responsible, together with the shift team and our operations coordinator, for managing work permits at Högbytorp. Daytime weeks also include improvement work, development of instructions, training, and other developmental tasks.

Your experiences We are looking for someone with previous experience in combined heat and power plants, hot water boilers, and heat pumps – knowledge you are happy to share with your colleagues. We see that you have an education as an operations technician or operations engineer, but you may also have built up equivalent competence through experience. In the role, being secure in taking responsibility and leading the work is valued, along with a good understanding of the importance of collaboration.

At E.ON, we see technology and innovation as a natural part of our everyday life. We therefore believe that you are curious, eager to embrace new technology, and see changes as an opportunity to find smarter and more sustainable solutions. At the same time, you make conscious choices in your work and always prioritize safety and well-being. You take responsibility for both your own and others' safety and react when something doesn't feel right. You contribute with engagement and a can-do attitude that inspires the team and drives us forward.

What is it like with us? Your manager Charlie leads with attentiveness, care, and great trust. He believes in freedom under responsibility while being clear about expectations and wants everyone to feel secure in their tasks. He actively works for an inclusive culture where ideas are welcomed, change is seen as something positive, and every employee can thrive. The team works in small shift teams with close collaboration and clear communication. The culture is characterized by warmth, openness, and a strong sense of community. We support each other, have fun together, and operate the facilities as a team where everyone's skills and personalities can shine.

At E.ON, we actively work with inclusion - it is crucial to drive the energy transition forward. We want you to feel welcome! We strive to create a safe work environment with meaningful tasks and good opportunities for development. We constantly challenge ourselves to create a welcoming workplace, where we hope you will thrive.

We work for a more sustainable energy society, but it is equally important that our employees have the conditions to care for their personal sustainability. We therefore offer good benefits to ensure your well-being and a good balance between work and leisure. Some of these include a shorter working time that is higher than the industry standard, health insurance, free healthcare, and more!

We warmly welcome you to apply and join us on the path to a sustainable society! The application deadline is 17/2 - 2026. The position is security classified, which means that a security clearance will be conducted before employment.
