New Teacher in Home Economics at Hortlax School

At Hortlax School, there are about 270 students in grades 7-9, and we are one of Piteå municipality's later schools. Our dedicated staff consists of 35 qualified and competent employees who together create a safe and inspiring learning environment. We operate in a school area with engaged parents who have great trust in the school and see education as an important investment. Our students are motivated, goal-oriented, and ready to achieve their dreams. Since autumn 2009, we have also offered a popular football profile, open to students from the entire municipality.

Job Responsibilities

Teaching home economics for grades 6-9. In addition, other common tasks for the teaching profession, including mentorship. You are also expected to participate in the school's development work and various interdisciplinary activities.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for a certified teacher with the qualification to teach home economics for grades 6-9. It may be advantageous if you also have qualifications in Swedish or another subject combination. Even those without formal qualifications are welcome to apply. You should be able to work towards set goals, plan and implement teaching with good quality, and have good collaboration skills as well as being a secure person with good judgment. Personal competence is highly valued.

Employment

Permanent employment. If you do not have formal qualifications, we can offer a fixed-term employment, known as a school law employment. Full-time position with the possibility of part-time, seasonal employment. Start date according to agreement.

For employment within the school, a criminal record check is required.
