About the Position

We are now looking for an automation technician for our client Ovako. Are you an experienced automation technician who thrives in an industrial environment and wants to work closely with production using technology that is crucial for operations? Then this could be the right opportunity for you.

The job involves ensuring a stable and reliable process and automation environment through installation, maintenance, spare parts management, as well as control and calibration of process-critical instrumentation and automation equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for installation, maintenance, and spare parts, control and calibration of process-critical

    instrumentation

  • Consultation with specialist firms

  • Requesting quotes

  • Working on improvements and troubleshooting existing equipment, PLC, HMI, control and drive systems

  • Participate in and lead projects

  • Assist shift electricians on occasion

Location: Smedjebacken

Scope: Full-time

Working hours: Daytime

About You

You have good technical skills in electrical engineering and automation and thrive in an industrial environment. You are structured, responsible, and solution-oriented, with a focus on operational reliability and improvement work. As a person, you are communicative, cooperative, and comfortable working both independently and in a team.

Qualifications
  • Education: 3–4 years of upper secondary school with a focus on automation

  • Ability to read and understand English

  • Knowledge of PLC

  • Knowledge of HMI

Meritorious
  • Experience in electrical engineering and automation in heavy industry

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
