About the School

Praktiska Gymnasiet Täby offers students a concept where theory is combined with practical exercises both in school and at workplaces. At Praktiska, we set high standards for ourselves to create the best conditions for an educational and enjoyable training experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include: HT, FS, EE, and HV programs. Currently, the school has about 200 students and approximately 22 staff members.

The students are apprentices in grades 2 and 3.

Your Mission

We offer a permanent position that begins with a probationary period of 25%. The mission of the student health team is to support students' development towards the educational goals, primarily through health-promoting and preventive work. As a school nurse, you bring nursing and medical expertise to support students' learning. The school nurse's preventive and health-promoting mission includes offering health visits, health checks, and vaccinations. Guidelines and methodological support can be found in the methodology book for the medical interventions of student health in high school.

In the role of school nurse with us, you will be part of the school's student health team and have close cooperation with school management, EHT, mentors, educators, guardians, and authorities outside the school. The mission also involves participating in the school's development work and in the joint development and quality assurance work within the medical student health.

The work requires that you are secure in your professional role, can work independently, are proactive, and have a good ability to see opportunities in different situations. As support in your work, you will be part of AcadeMedia's network for school nurses led by the medical operational manager.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialist training as a pediatric nurse, district nurse, or school nurse. You are interested in working with preventive health work and operating in a modern school nurse role.

To thrive in the role of school nurse with us, we prefer that you have high ambitions, are proactive, organized, as well as empathetic and attentive. Above all, you are passionate about building relationships with our students and see their development and learning as an important starting point in your work.

If you have previously worked as a school nurse or have experience in health-promoting work with children and youth, we see this as very positive. Experience with the digital journal system PMO is an advantage. Personal suitability is of great importance.
