Tunaholm School is hiring a certified teacher in Mathematics and Technology

Tunaholm School is a multicultural school for grades 7-9, centrally located in Mariestad. Approximately 340 students study at the school, and 45 staff members work in four different teams around the students. By stimulating, supporting, and challenging students in their daily work, we develop trust in their own abilities. We are now looking for a certified teacher in Mathematics and Technology for the autumn term of 2026.

The Education Administration in Mariestad operates services for 3,500 children and students in preschool and pedagogical care, primary school, high school, adult education, as well as child and student health. The municipality's food department is also included in the education administration.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In your role, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in Mathematics and Technology for grades 7-9 at Tunaholm School in Mariestad.

You will be part of a working team and also share mentorship for a class. In teamwork around the students' knowledge development, you will contribute together with colleagues to see holistic solutions in teaching based on both the group's and the individual's needs. You will place the student's development at the center from both a social and pedagogical perspective and conduct and develop your work based on scientific and proven pedagogical experience both independently and together with others.

The position is full-time, but there is some flexibility to adjust the position to between 80-100% after agreement and if the employer considers it appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher with qualifications in Mathematics and Technology for grades 7-9, or in combination with another subject.

You are a good communicator and have the ability to build trust in relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are familiar with and have good skills in handling Office 365.

This job requires responsibility, good collaboration skills, flexibility, a solution-focused approach, and an interdisciplinary approach to teaching. You will shape the Mathematics and Technology education from a holistic perspective where students are encouraged to want and dare to try methods and solutions and develop trust in their ability to use Mathematics and Technology in various contexts. It is also important for you to differentiate the teaching based on the student group you encounter.

Furthermore, you have a clear and relational leadership characterized by a structured and accessible learning environment and teaching.
