JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities as Chef
In the role of Chef, you will participate in various tasks in the daily operations of a large kitchen. Responsibilities include preparing lunches and side dishes for lunches as well as serving meals. Other tasks may include unpacking incoming deliveries. Additionally, post-work in the kitchen such as dishwashing and cleaning is included. Some documentation within the kitchen is required. An important part of the job is the professional interaction with diners, colleagues, and striving for positive collaboration with other staff groups within the unit where you work. You will have ongoing contact with the unit manager, who is also your immediate supervisor. Important focus areas for all employees in the Service Department are customer awareness, collaboration, dialogue, and quality.
Responsibilities as Pool Chef
The position is offered in kitchens within:
- School kitchens
- Preschool kitchens
- Elderly care kitchens
We are looking for someone who is interested in actively participating in the development of meals for our diners in schools, preschools, and care to new levels.
In the role of Pool Chef, you will have varied tasks in the daily work in the kitchen. Each day, you will be booked via mobile phone to the kitchen where you will work for the day. Therefore, the work involves working in both single and multiple staff kitchens. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking breakfast, lunch, snacks, and serving meals. Additionally, post-work in the kitchen such as dishwashing and cleaning and receiving deliveries is included. You will also be responsible for self-control, purchasing raw materials, and some contact with suppliers. Administrative tasks include processing invoices, so computer skills are required. You will work closely with the unit manager, who is also your immediate supervisor.
Since you can be booked in all our kitchens, a driver's license and access to your own car every day are required.
You who apply for the position are confident in your professional role in the kitchen and have an easy time building good relationships with others. You will often be alone in the kitchen where you work for the day, which requires you to be self-sufficient and flexible. You have good planning skills and can see the whole picture of the assignment. You have a strong commitment that contributes to creating positive dining experiences for our diners in preschool, school, and elderly care.
You need a driver's license and access to your own car to work as a Pool Chef.
It is an advantage if you have previous experience with food data systems such as Mashie.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a 3-year restaurant and food education or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer. You have previous experience working in a large kitchen.
We are looking for someone who:
- has the necessary knowledge of meal service in large-scale kitchens.
- has previous experience working in a large kitchen.
- has good knowledge of food hygiene.
- has good computer skills.
- speaks and writes Swedish fluently.
