Chef – Cook food that really matters

Markaryd Municipality | 1–2 permanent positions

Do you want to work in the municipality with an important task - to provide our children and the elderly with good and nutritious meals? We are looking for someone who wants to work as a chef and be involved in serving our children and the elderly safe and tasty meals!

We are now looking for 1–2 chefs for our municipal kitchens. We offer two positions with different working time arrangements, one of which includes working every third weekend. There is also an opportunity to work as a pool chef for those who appreciate variety and change in their daily routine.

Job Responsibilities

As a chef with us, you will work in municipal kitchens where food is prepared from scratch with a focus on quality, taste, and nutrition. Together with colleagues, you will plan, prepare, and cook meals that are served in our operations, aiming to create safe and appreciated dining experiences every day. The work also includes handling special diets, self-control, and a responsible approach to raw materials and finances. We work in modern kitchens with well-functioning routines and equipment that supports both quality and a good working environment.

Qualifications

You who are applying should have completed a hotel and restaurant program or have other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.

You should have good knowledge of traditional cooking, knowledge about special diets, self-control, and have an economic mindset regarding large-scale catering. You should be open to new cooking methods with modern equipment. Of course, you have a genuine interest in food and cooking and enjoy working in a team. With a positive engagement, you contribute to a good working environment. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Other

The position is a permanent full-time position in Markaryd Municipality. You will be offered good working hours and will work in a team with both chefs and kitchen assistants.
