At Forenede Care, we are looking for you who are a nursing assistant or caregiver and want to work during all or part of the summer at our cozy nursing home Björkbacken.

As a nursing assistant/caregiver with us at Forenede Care, you will provide good care, service, and support to our residents, and every day you will help shape the future of elderly care together with knowledgeable and engaged colleagues.

Björkbacken nursing home in Lund is located in a rural area surrounded by beautiful scenery on the outskirts of Dalby, with nature at your doorstep and within walking distance to the center. Here we offer a safe, welcoming, and friendly atmosphere with a strong focus on your wishes regarding care, activities, and meals. When the weather permits during the warmer months, we move activities to our beautiful garden or gazebo. Björkbacken has a somatic focus with 42 places distributed across 3 departments. Many skilled employees work at the unit, including nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, team leaders, unit managers, and life coaches. You can reach us in Dalby either by bus from Lund or if you drive your own car, there is parking directly adjacent to the residence.

In the role of nursing assistant/caregiver with us, you will perform care and support based on the client's wishes and in accordance with applicable assistance decisions with a strong focus on quality. This is done, for example, by performing personal hygiene, assisting with meal preparation and serving, responding to alarms, and social interaction. Social interaction can include conversations, games, bike rides, music activities, or similar. You will also perform delegated tasks from licensed staff in the form of medication administration and training.

As a summer substitute with us, you have good chances of getting new substitute positions or permanent employment.

Job Description

We are currently looking for several nursing assistants/caregivers to ensure a great summer for our residents. Employment levels can vary, but we would prefer if you could work at least 75% or more to be able to work on a scheduled basis. The employment form is a temporary position over the summer from June to August but may be extended.

To be considered for the position, you need to:

• Present a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare as a nursing assistant

• Have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form

We also consider previous experience in elderly care and dementia care as an advantage.

Before we offer employment, you must present an unopened extract from the police criminal record. We also require proof of a valid Swedish work permit, such as a passport or approved work permit from the Migration Agency.

To be considered for the position of nursing assistant, you need to provide documentation for approved education and a permit issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant.
