The Operation

Ward 93 is part of Danderyd Hospital's area of Medical Specialties with a focus on endocrinology and diabetes. We are located in large and bright premises, next to our diabetes clinic. Here, you will experience an exciting everyday life with a lot of job satisfaction and good camaraderie with the patient in focus. We primarily care for patients with endocrine diseases such as diabetes but also other internal medical conditions. Our interdisciplinary team consists of general nurses, diabetes nurses, nursing assistants, specialist-trained doctors, social workers, and physiotherapists. We have a close collaboration with the diabetes clinic, and several of us rotate between the operations.

About the Job

We care for twelve patients. We have a flow coordinator Mon-Fri who handles all incoming calls, transports, and social planning for our patients.

The work as a nurse is varied both in terms of care and medical aspects with close collaboration with different professions in the team. You will lead the work, make assessments, and prescribe nursing measures. Here, you will be offered a clear career and competence ladder within our operation that is linked to salary development. You will participate in regular lectures and seminars and contribute to creating structure according to your wishes. In the future, you may be offered courses and/or specialist nurse programs at colleges/universities focusing on diabetes care and have the opportunity to rotate to our diabetes clinic as a diabetes nurse.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse who has an interest in working with people with endocrine diseases and preferably has experience from acute care and endocrinology.

We appreciate personal qualities such as the ability to work independently, flexibility, a positive demeanor, and taking the initiative for improvements based on the department's needs. We consider personal suitability for employment with us. Previous experience in inpatient care, specifically in endocrinology and diabetes, is an advantage.
