Do you want to lead delivery projects within low voltage distribution and automation while contributing to the development of the Swedish electrical grid? We are now looking for a Project Manager in Automation for our client's operations in Västerås.

About the role

As a project manager, you will be responsible for the execution of projects related to electrical equipment for low voltage distribution and automation, with a particular focus on automation cabinets/control cabinets (but you may also work with substations and switchgear).

You will support and drive delivery projects in a manufacturing industrial environment where project timelines vary from a few weeks to several months. The role involves managing multiple processes simultaneously and working closely with both the project organization and production.

The business is international, which means you will communicate daily in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, internally and externally with suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Project management in delivery and production projects within the manufacturing industry

  • Technical quotation work

  • Project execution: planning, coordination, and time management

  • Procurement of materials and technical support related to the delivery

  • Documentation and handling of customer documentation (schematics, equipment lists, layouts)

  • Project follow-up: finance, goals, reporting, and delivery follow-up

  • Some electrical design (if you have the competence)

  • Contribute to the development of work methods, project execution, and business development

We are looking for someone who

You are structured and self-driven, enjoy taking responsibility, and thrive in a role where the pace can vary. You are solution-oriented, communicative, and work well in a project organization where you collaborate in teams with different competencies.

You feel confident interpreting technical specifications and circuit diagrams, and can translate customer needs into a competitive production solution. You also have good digital skills and work comfortably in an Office environment.

Requirements
  • Experience in electrical design and/or project execution within the relevant industry

  • Experience in delivery projects in an industrial environment

  • Good computer skills and experience working in the Office suite (especially Excel)

  • Swedish and English at a technical level in speech and writing

  • At least a high school diploma

Meritorious
  • Post-secondary education in electrical design/project management or university education

  • Experience as an electrical designer

  • Background as an assembler of control cabinets/relay cabinets, tester, commissioning engineer, or automation technician

  • Experience with ERP/business systems, preferably Monitor

  • Very good knowledge of Excel

  • Deep knowledge of relay cabinets/control equipment for electrical grid and power station environments
