About us

Västanfors Stålbyggnader is the company in the traditional Bergslagen region that knows a bit more. The whole is the most important for us; we perform all steps from planning to the last screw. With over 70 years of experience in steel constructions, we know what is required. Since our start in 1953, Västanfors Stålbyggnader has erected over 7000 steel halls, ranging from smaller warehouses to large sports arenas and aircraft hangars. Our buildings can be found all over the country, from Haparanda in the north to Malmö in the south.

Prefabricated buildings in our own management, the safe and quality alternative, is our philosophy. The buildings are designed by our constructors at the office in Fagersta using the latest 3D technology. The steel frames are then welded together, followed by rust protection and painting processing in Västanfors' own workshop across the yard. After that, our skilled assemblers erect the building on site.

One of our experienced project managers is involved from the start of the project to the last screw. They know the market and understand what is needed for the result to be of the highest quality. About the position

As a Constructor at Västanfors Stålbyggnader, you will primarily work with the production of working drawings and specifications for the manufacturing and assembly of steel buildings.

You will work in Tekla Structures, a software where you build a model in a 3D environment that generates facades, plans, sections, and manufacturing drawings. You will have construction calculations made by our structural engineer as a basis.

Throughout the sales/construction process, you will be there as support to salespeople, in planning meetings, during procurement, and in problem-solving discussions with customers, salespeople, and consultants to ensure a qualitative end product that meets the customer's wishes and expectations.

The work as a constructor is varied, responsible, and independent. There is a broad competence base in the team, a good team spirit, and willingness to cooperate. The office is characterized by openness where we share each other's burdens.

The position is a permanent employment with placement according to agreement directly with our client Västanfors Stålbyggnader. A probationary period will be applied.

About you

We are looking for someone who is driven, quick to learn, and wants to achieve results. To get into the role as soon as possible, we see that you have a technical background or education - preferably in construction. Furthermore, you have experience in drawing, creating, and using digital environments.

Through internal training, we want you to feel secure in the independent work as a Constructor - both in producing drawings and in customer contacts. A B driver's license is a requirement.
