Södertull Health Center is located in central Lund with good commuting opportunities and is one of Lund's largest health centers with a diverse staff with broad expertise. We have approximately 11,300 registered patients of various ages. The medical staff consists of a mix of specialists in general medicine, ST doctors, and AT doctors. Additionally, medical secretaries, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, psychologists, and physiotherapists work at the health center. We are situated in large airy premises that are well adapted for the operation where everyone fits under one roof.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Here we offer a supportive educational climate with continuous supervision on your path to specialist doctor competence. With us, you will have the opportunity to follow various care processes with complex considerations in close collaboration with competent colleagues and our healthcare neighbors. Additionally, you will work with commonly occurring tasks at the health center, such as your own clinic with both planned and acute visits, child health care (BVC), home care, and special housing. Furthermore, you will also act as support to nurses and other healthcare staff in their work. Your role plays an important function at the health center, and it is therefore expected that you are ready to take an active role in the care provided under supervision. Team collaboration, where different competencies and experiences enrich and complement each other, is fundamental to our working method.

As a new employee with us, you will receive an introduction tailored to your experiences so that you can integrate into the operation in a good way. If specialization training becomes relevant, you will, in collaboration with your supervisor and the ST study director, create a joint plan for your education. You will have your own patient list that you are responsible for both as a junior doctor and ST.

Furthermore, we expect you to be involved and proactive in improvement work and operational development. We use speech recognition, video meetings, chat, etc., in our daily work and expect you to also be able to conduct a digital consultation.

A permanent position as an ST doctor is preceded by a temporary position as a junior doctor for three to six months in accordance with regional guidelines for the appointment of ST doctor positions within Primary Care.

Furthermore, your work is characterized by being thorough, structured, and having a flexible approach. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Regarding the formal requirements, you need to have completed AT or BT and be a licensed physician authorized to practice in Swedish healthcare and have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s language scale.
