In the autumn of 2025, a pilot project with operation-adapted work shifts was initiated, aimed at improving the work environment with the possibility of increased recovery.

Central Operation

Central Operation is Östersund Hospital's large surgical department with 11 operating rooms where we conduct activities in orthopedics, surgery, urology, gynecology, and ear, nose, and throat with a mix of minor and advanced surgery.

We operate around the clock, both planned and emergency surgeries for patients of all ages. We also have a surgical robot for robot-assisted surgeries. With us, you will be part of the surgical team together with doctors, anesthetic nurses, surgical nurses, and nursing assistants.

Our workplace is characterized by good communication, high competence, and a positive atmosphere.

We have strong teamwork in the operating room where all professional categories are important for the patient to receive safe and professional care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your job responsibilities will be to take care of the patient, materials, and medical technical equipment before, during, and after surgery together with the rest of the surgical team. You will rotate between working in the operating room and performing ancillary tasks in the surgical department.

QUALIFICATIONS

To thrive with us, you have an interest in surgical nursing.

We are looking for someone who is interested in a varied teamwork in a technology-intensive environment with rapid changes in pace and a mix of planned and emergency surgical care.

Nursing assistant education is a requirement. We value previous experience in surgical nursing. It is important for us to find the right person for the group. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
