Are you looking for a developing job where you can utilize the full breadth of your skills?

Welcome to us at the heart unit in Östersund!

At the heart unit, you will be part of a stimulating community and become an important part of the unit. Here, there is an inpatient department, outpatient clinic, and a coronary laboratory (PCI lab). We work in teams throughout the unit and encourage professional development.

In the inpatient department, we have 20 beds, of which 6 are for cardiac intensive care. The heart unit is also part of the hospital's cardiac emergency team, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation is a central part of the unit, for example, in training initiatives. During the day, the staff on the ward receive support from a lead nurse who coordinates and leads the work.

Our goal is to work 2 out of 5 weekends and we offer flexibility in the schedule based on individual needs; many of our nurses currently work extended shifts while others choose to work traditional 8-hour shifts.

Your onboarding will be tailored and individualized based on your previous experience and skills. We have recurring training weeks every 4 weeks where we hold training/lectures with various themes based on needs or requests.

Do you want to be part of our fantastic workplace? We are now looking for nurses for our inpatient department!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The heart unit is a cardiology ward with both acute and planned operations focusing on heart diseases such as heart attack, heart failure, and various arrhythmias. The ward is divided into three parts: HIA, which has six beds with increased monitoring and the possibility of intermediate care, Cardiology/general, and Endocrinology/general, each with six beds.

As a nurse, you will work closely with other nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors, as well as other professional categories available in the unit or related to it, such as medical secretaries and staff managing patient kitchens, supplies, and cleaning. The workplace is well-liked by both staff and patients.

As a nurse in our heart unit, you will gain broad knowledge in all aspects of cardiac care; when you are ready and after internal training, you will join the hospital's cardiac emergency team. There are good opportunities for development within the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. You see it as a given to work in a team and contribute to the entire heart unit. Experience in cardiac care and intermediate care is an advantage. If you are newly graduated, you are offered to participate in Region Jämtland Härjedalen's introductory program, Nurse's first year.

OTHER

In Region Jämtland Härjedalen, our work is permeated by our core values: we create value for those we serve, act with decisiveness, and strive to always be perceived as reliable. With us, you will have the opportunity to work in an organization where these values shape everyday life and where your work truly makes a difference.

As an employee, you will have access to a wide range of benefits through our benefits portal. We care about your health and offer wellness grants or wellness hours. At Östersund Hospital, you can also train for free at the gym Zefyren and participate in instructor-led sessions.

Selection and appointment may occur continuously during the advertising period, so we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.

We have an established mediation process for recruitment and kindly but firmly request no contact with advertising sellers or other sellers of recruitment services.
