JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The authority office consists of 4 assistance officers, 2 LSS officers, and one social psychiatry officer. The workgroup is divided into two office areas, both located in Osby. The assistance officers have their office within a 10-minute walk from the local train/bus station. The LSS and social psychiatry officers have their office within a 5-minute walk from the train/bus station. The authority office has regular joint workplace meetings, and since the workgroup is small, support for each other and community is highly prioritized.

In the role of assistance officer, you often meet people in difficult and complex life situations, which means it is important that you as a person are secure and stable.

Your tasks include receiving reports and applications, investigating individual needs, making decisions, following up on existing decisions, and guiding individuals based on their needs according to the Social Services Act.

In the role of assistance officer, you will closely collaborate with your colleagues and other professionals such as care staff, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and unit managers. We place great importance on teamwork, and good collaboration skills are seen as a prerequisite for effective teamwork.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker, has studied the social care program, or has another education that the employer considers suitable.

We seek someone who possesses the following qualities and knowledge:

  • Proficient in the Swedish language and able to express yourself easily in speech and writing.
  • Social competence and empathetic ability.
  • Responsible and flexible.
  • Good collaboration skills.
  • Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
  • Experience in public authority operations and documentation in Treserva is an advantage.
  • A valid driver's license (B) is required.
  • A criminal record extract must be presented by the person offered employment.

OTHER

There is an opportunity to combine the job with being a part-time firefighter. Assessment will be made based on the needs of the operation.
