Your role with us
We are looking for a social advisor with a focus on preventive work. The new social advisors will be part of the preventive work at the Unit for Establishment and Counseling within the Department of Work and Welfare.
50% of the position will be based at Familjehuset Näsby, which is a family center. At Familjehuset Näsby, there is a child health center (BVC), midwifery clinic, open preschool, and social counseling. We have staff and services gathered for the whole family in one place. Familjehuset Näsby is a meeting place for families and parents with children up to 6 years old. Those expecting a child are also welcome here. We organize, among other things, baby cafés and parent groups. As a social advisor at Familjehuset, you will work with those who have questions or need support in their role as a parent/future parent. You will also work to disseminate information about the rights of children and families. Collaboration with other professionals at Familjehuset occurs naturally in daily work.
50% of the position will be with other social advisors at the unit for establishment and counseling. The unit works with parenting and focuses on family through advisory, motivational, and family-supportive conversations. The unit's work includes leading various types of groups primarily aimed at parents. The role includes working with Växa Tryggt, which is an extended home visit program for first-time mothers conducted in collaboration with Region Skåne.
Outreach work and collaboration with, for example, preschools, schools, and child health care will also be an important part of your work.
Evening work will occur about one day a week.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer finds suitable. We prefer that you have experience in social work within the social services area and have experience in treatment and conversations with parents and their children. Since communication is an important part of your work, we expect you to be computer literate and able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. A driver's license for a manual transmission is required. Your personal qualities are important to us, and we are looking for someone with empathetic ability, who is flexible, curious, and creative. You have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect. You are unpretentious and recognize and reward others' contributions. Your ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally, will be beneficial in the work, and you collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions. Furthermore, you have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You encourage and support change initiatives and easily adjust your behavior in relation to the needs of others.
