If you are a specialist nurse in emergency care, there are great opportunities for development.

The clinic consists of two care units: the emergency department and the acute care ward, where we are experts in symptom-driven emergency care. Your mission is to receive and care for our patients together with the team of nursing assistants and emergency doctors. In the team, you lead the nursing work and implement prescribed medical treatments, as well as evaluate the effects of the above.

Feel free to read about our career ladder for nurses and also about your benefits with us.

Job Description

At the emergency department, each day varies in content with different challenges, and when you are fully introduced, you will alternate various positions and carry out everything from triage to emergency care of critically ill patients. The work environment is both exciting and stimulating, as well as occasionally stressful, where you will practice your ability to prioritize and, together with the team, direct your various efforts where they are needed most.

When you are placed in our acute care ward, you will continue to work with patients who have recently been admitted from the emergency department. You will work in a team with nursing assistants, pharmacists, and doctors in an environment where pace, collaboration, and patient safety go hand in hand. The focus is still on caring for the patient with symptom-driven emergency care and nursing. In the acute care ward, patients are monitored, investigated, and treated during the first critical days, often with varying diagnoses and care needs. The work is varied and takes place in close collaboration with colleagues in the team around the patient. Here, you will continue to practice your ability to prioritize and work more independently based on care plans and general directives regarding care and treatment. Within the acute care ward, there is also the clinic's intermediate care unit for monitoring as well as readiness for and execution of more advanced care.

We are now looking for you who want to work with acutely ill patients and also have fun at work! Feel free to follow us on Instagram to get insights into our work and meet our dedicated employees: “akutvardsavdelningennrkpg” and “akutklinikennorrkoping”.
