Technician in the Food Industry

Do you want to work in a stable and well-functioning production environment where your technical skills are crucial for daily operations? We are now looking for an experienced technician for an established production facility in the food industry in Gothenburg.

About the Position

As a technician, you will work closely with production and be responsible for keeping machines and equipment in good condition. Your work will include both preventive maintenance and urgent interventions during operational disturbances. The role is broad and practical, involving electrical, electronic, and mechanical aspects, as well as improvement work to enhance operational reliability and efficiency.

Basic welding tasks may occur as needed, primarily TIG in stainless steel, but this is not a main part of the job.

The position involves shift work with varying day and evening hours.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repair of production machines
• Preventive and planned maintenance
• Improvement and development work of the machinery
• Replacement of mechanical and electronic components
• Interpreting electrical diagrams and working with machine electronics
• Basic welding tasks as needed
• Purchasing and collecting materials and equipment

Qualifications for the Position

• Several years of experience in maintenance within industrial production
• Good knowledge of electrical and machine electronics
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
• Technical education or equivalent work experience
• Computer skills, preferably experience with maintenance systems
• Driver's license B
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Experience from food production or hygiene-sensitive environments
• Welding skills, especially TIG in stainless steel
