About the role
We are currently looking for a head chef for the cold kitchen who wants to help develop our classic cold kitchen. We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in food, feels comfortable and at home in a cold kitchen, and is driven to lead and develop a team.
In the cold kitchen, cold appetizers, canapés, and finger foods are prepared for our banquet hall, as well as Afternoon tea for Cadierbaren. Classic buffets and breakfast buffets for Verandan are also made here.
Responsibilities
As the head chef for the cold kitchen, you are responsible for ensuring that operations run efficiently and according to our high quality and hygiene standards. The role includes:

Leading, organizing, distributing, and following up on the daily work in the cold kitchen

Actively participating in daily production

Ensuring that the kitchen's routines, working methods, and standards are followed

Leading and developing a team of cold kitchen staff and sous chefs

Responsible for scheduling, personnel planning, and follow-up of employees

Participating in menu planning and layout

Ensuring that orders, purchases, and inventory are conducted within given financial frameworks

Communicating continuously with kitchen staff and other departments within the hotel

Ensuring that HACCP, cleaning routines, and other hygiene and environmental regulations are followed
You are also expected to contribute to good cooperation within the entire F&B organization to create a high-quality and professional operation together.
Working hours
Working hours vary but are mainly during the day. As you are ultimately responsible for kitchen operations, you are expected to take overall responsibility, which means being flexible and, if necessary, working evenings and weekends to ensure the operation's continuity and quality.
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, we see that you are a confident and structured leader with good organizational skills. You work solution-oriented, are communicative, and have an easy time creating engagement in your team. You are unpretentious, attentive, and have a professional attitude towards both colleagues and guests.
Furthermore, we are looking for someone who has:

At least 8 years of experience working in a professional kitchen, with at least 3 years in a cold kitchen.

The ability to work systematically and maintain high quality even under time pressure.

Previous experience in leading and motivating a team and feel comfortable making decisions regarding daily operations.

Good communication and collaboration skills with other departments.

Knowledge of HACCP and other relevant food laws and regulations.

Fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
Documented education in the profession is an advantage.
Experience from larger hotel operations or international establishments is an advantage.
