We are looking for a male or female, aged 18-40, who wants to work as a personal assistant to this amazing young man. Here’s his introduction.

Hello!

I am an independent, cheerful, and positive 19-year-old with a physical disability. My hands can be a bit troublesome, but I am mobile and can move between my aids, although I need some support in certain situations. Otherwise, I need help with hand assistance, feeding, cooking, personal hygiene, and more.

My interests include going to the gym, training in various parasports, playing chess, listening to music, reading books, and attending events.

As an assistant, you should be reliable, positive, and engaged, and I appreciate a bit of humor. You should not be afraid to pitch in when needed but also have the ability to step back when required. As mentioned, I am independent and do not have any intellectual disabilities. Social skills are important, as well as the ability to handle my aids, which sometimes need adjustments. Being able to speak and understand Swedish is a given.

A requirement is that you must have a driver’s license and access to a car, as I live outside Hässleholm and often go out for activities.

I am now looking for a part-time assistant who can work during weekends and school breaks. During the summer, there is also the possibility to work on a schedule. The working hours will usually be from 09:00 to 17:00.
