Your Responsibilities

You will have a meaningful and active job where you assist our clients with personal care and support according to their individual needs. This includes supporting and helping with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, household chores, and meals. You will manage medications, document, and report the services provided. An important part of your job is to create a safe and positive environment for the individuals you support and social interaction.

Your Qualifications

To work as a substitute, you must be over 18 years old or turn 18 during the spring of 2025. To meet our clients and document your work, you must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. You are accustomed to using a computer and mobile phone. It is an advantage if you have started or completed training as a nursing assistant or childcare worker. Perhaps you are studying another relevant field, such as nursing, physiotherapy, or behavioral science. Experience in healthcare and social services is a plus but not a requirement.

We Primarily Seek You

We primarily seek someone who can work on a schedule for at least 75% and every other weekend during weeks 25 – 32 to create routine and security for our clients during the summer. Of course, you who want to work extra based on your circumstances can also apply.

We Offer

An employment as a substitute on one or more of our workplaces where you will have a meaningful and rewarding job and feel that you make a difference every day. We tailor your introduction and training based on your needs and experience.

With us, you will gain experience in elderly care or in services for individuals with disabilities according to LSS and social psychiatry.

There is an opportunity to have a schedule of at least 75% and every other weekend during weeks 25 – 32. For those who need more flexible working hours, the option is to be booked when you can work and the workplace has a need.

In home care, we offer those who work continuously during weeks 25-32 a summer bonus of 5,000 SEK, provided that you do not have more than one sick leave during the period.

Practical Information

• We work day, evening, weekend, or night shifts.
• Please submit your application as soon as you can. Interviews are conducted continuously throughout the application period, and we try to get back to you as soon as possible.
• If you have training in healthcare or as a childcare worker, you need to attach your grades and professional certificates. If you are studying to become a nurse, you need to attach a study certificate.
• If you proceed in the recruitment process, it is mandatory to submit a video interview where you answer a short number of interview questions.
• If you have been employed by Västerås municipality in the past year, we will always take a reference from your last manager.
• If you become a candidate for employment, you must show your extract from the criminal record.
