Your workplace

Västergärdet Preschool opened its doors in August 2017, and we are now looking for additional preschool teachers to join our team in the spring. The preschool is located in the Önneröd area of Landvetter, with a bus stop right outside, and close to Landvetter center with all its activities and services. Proximity to nature reserves and opportunities to enjoy the forest and countryside are also within reach.

Your assignment

As a preschool teacher with us, you will lead, develop, and implement the educational activities. You will work to create a safe, stimulating, and educational environment where each child has the opportunity to develop according to their own needs, interests, and conditions.

You are responsible for translating the curriculum's goals into practice, planning and documenting activities, and following up on children's learning and development together with your team. Your work includes creating inclusive learning environments where children's creativity, curiosity, and desire to learn are nurtured.

Your assignment also involves being a safe adult and educational leader who:

• Creates positive relationships with children, colleagues, and guardians
• Plans and leads activities that promote learning, play, and social development
• Reflects on and develops the operations together with colleagues
• Contributes to systematic quality work through documentation and follow-up
• Supports children in developing their independence, empathy, and ability to collaborate

In this role, you will have the opportunity to help shape the preschool's culture, develop learning environments and educational processes, and participate in joint development efforts for the operations.

Requirements

• Licensed preschool teacher
• Good collaboration skills
• Ability to translate the curriculum into practice
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Basic digital competence

• Experience working in preschool
• Experience in pedagogical documentation and systematic quality work
• Experience with children needing special support
• Previous participation in development and process work
