About the workplace

The Urban Planning Administration plans, builds, manages, and develops Helsingborg. We want to be smart and brave when developing our urban environments and green structures into places where people want to be. We are about 240 employees who work creatively and joyfully for a sustainable city that we and the residents of Helsingborg are proud of.

You will be part of the Design & Projecting unit, where we are responsible for the design of the city's public spaces with a focus on quality of life. Green and blue structures, social sustainability, accessibility, safety, and design are intertwined to create environments that endure over time.

Job responsibilities

As a temporary landscape architect, you will work with the design and shaping of public environments and urban spaces in development, where trees and green structures are important components. The role includes producing and evaluating construction documents as well as illustrating and visualizing proposals in relevant design and presentation programs. You will support processes but also drive projects from idea to finished design in close dialogue with clients, colleagues, and external actors. You will be part of a positive team where engagement, creativity, and collaboration are valued. The work is both creative and project-leading and requires good initiative, structure, and the ability to work independently with active feedback.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained landscape architect with:

• Experience in landscape architecture design and a strong commitment to developing urban environments and green issues.
• Good experience in producing and evaluating construction documents.
• Interest and ability in form and design.
• Very good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and AutoCAD.
• Driving license B.

Experience from municipal operations is an advantage but not a requirement.
