Security Company Sea

Security Company Sea constitutes the marine part of the joint defense force 13. Security Battalion. 13. Security Battalion is an operational security unit that leads and is part of the Joint Counter Intelligence Task Group (JCITG), which is a combat group consisting of several military units active in intelligence and security services.

We operate with small patrols over large areas to detect, clarify, and counter security threats before the opponent has completed their mission. The unit conducts live operations for Sweden's security year-round, both nationally and internationally. JCITG is led by the Operations Management (OPL) at the Headquarters.

Security Company Sea is stationed at Älvsborg Amphibious Regiment, Amf 4, in Gothenburg.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible, together with the company's dog service leader, for basic training, planning, and execution of dog handler training, as well as ongoing development and follow-up of the company's various operational teams. You will also support dog handler training at other locations and train subjects to become fully operational service dogs. You have good physical ability without serious injuries that prevent you from following the dog handlers in their activities. You will participate in exercises as well as live operations. The position combines the roles of trainer and instructor equally.

Requirements:

• Swedish citizen
• Good physical ability
• Driving license B
• Approved high school education
• Swim proficiently

Desirable Qualifications:

• Completed military basic training with satisfactory results
• Previous service in similar units
• Knowledge in training service dogs for patrol/search/protection
• Experience in an instructor role
• Pedagogical training
• Competed civically in working obedience
• Knowledge of animal care, physical training, wellness, prehab, or rehab for animals.
• Approved trainer education at FHTE
• Driving license BE
• Military driving certificates
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other parts of the Office suite
• Experience working with classified information

Personal Qualities

You are engaged, humble, and have good communication skills. You are flexible and enjoy working in a team and driving operations forward. As an instructor, pedagogical skills and the ability to plan and execute exercises are also required. You have no problem occasionally working independently and can easily take on new tasks within given mandates. You need to collaborate unpretentiously with others but also take personal responsibility in your role.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
