The resource team means that you work beyond the regular operations and cover where the need exists within the areas of Preventive, day activities, and Kista service house. You will be based at Kista service house.

The area currently includes Kista Service House, the preventive unit, and day activities and is one of the executing units within the department for the Elderly, people with disabilities, and social psychiatry. Kista service house moved into newly renovated premises in May 2022 and has 78 apartments. We are easily accessible and located near Kista Galleria, with close connections to several bus lines, subway lines, and commuter trains.

The day activity Violen is adjacent to the service house, and the day activity Minnesträffen is located in Spånga. The day activities are assessed support services for people with dementia diagnoses who visit us during weekdays from Monday to Friday.

Your Role

As an assistant nurse, you provide good care and social support to the elderly you work with. You are a helping hand and support the care recipient in daily life and with their social contacts, as well as help promote the functional ability of the elderly. You perform care and support work for individuals in their own homes or in day activities. As an assistant nurse, you motivate and stimulate the elderly based on their individual conditions, needs, and wishes.

Qualifications

You have a high school education in the nursing program, health care, or another education deemed equivalent by the employer. You have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You have experience in the profession as an assistant nurse. The tasks include documentation, so we are looking for someone with documentation experience.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of dementia diseases.

To thrive in the role, we need you to be secure, stress-resistant, and have personal maturity. You need to be service-oriented and attentive to the care recipient's needs. You value differences and understand that different backgrounds, cultures, and group affiliations can affect oneself and others in various ways. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and are happy to share your own knowledge and experiences while being open to learning from others. As an assistant nurse in the service house, you are self-sufficient but collaborate with others in the shared care and support work. Empathy is important in meeting other people, and you have a genuine interest in working in the profession. You need to have pedagogical insight into people's different conditions and be able to adapt your communication style accordingly.

Flexibility is an important quality for working in the resource team as you may work in different operations.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

The position involves working day/evening with every other weekend.
