We are now looking for a technically skilled and self-driven property technician who wants to work with the operation, maintenance, renovation, and development of our properties.

Sundsgården is a folk high school with hotel and conference operations. This means great variation in the work, long-term relationships, and a clear societal mission.

About the position

As a property technician with us, you will work broadly with both technical operations and practical property work. You will have operational responsibility for the daily operations, maintenance, and implementation of practical measures in our properties.

The role involves independent work within given frameworks in close dialogue with the finance and property manager. You are responsible for planning, implementation, documentation, and are the team leader with operational leadership of the property work and the work team, but you do not have any personnel, budget, or employer responsibility.

The work is carried out in collaboration with the property team and involves daily contact with students, staff, hotel guests, and tenants. You will also participate in preparations for maintenance and investment projects by developing technical documentation such as drawings, cost estimates, and quotation materials.

Responsibilities

· Operation, supervision, and basic optimization of technical systems (HVAC, ventilation, and electricity)

· Ongoing maintenance, repairs, and practical construction and renovation work.

· Operational leadership and coordination of property-related tasks without formal personnel responsibility

· Participation in renovations, improvement work, and new installations

· Contact and coordination with external contractors for larger measures

· Administrative follow-up, including invoice management, documentation, and time reporting

· Work with statutory controls and systematic fire protection work (SBA)

· Participation in project preparations and responsibility together with the property group for drawings, technical documentation, cost estimates, and quotation collection

· On-call duty according to schedule after the introductory period

· Maintenance of gardens and outdoor environments adjacent to the properties

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in property work, property technology, construction, maintenance, or a similar practical role
  • Broad technical and practical understanding of properties
  • Experience in practical work such as repairs, maintenance, and basic construction
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks
  • Administrative experience and ability to document completed work
  • Driver's license (B)

Desirable

  • Experience in property automation (e.g., Bastec or similar systems)
  • Experience in kitchen and bathroom renovations
  • Experience in SBA and regulatory requirements
  • Machine experience (forklift, wheel loader, or similar)
  • Training in hot work, lifts, fall protection, working at heights
  • Experience in landscaping and gardening work
  • Practical experience in leading others, e.g., as a team leader, project manager, or informal leader

You enjoy varied tasks and see the value in being able to perform both minor and major measures yourself.

You are service-oriented, structured, and have an easy time collaborating with colleagues, students, guests, and contractors.

You have the ability to coordinate and follow up on tasks within the team, in consultation with the finance and property manager.
