Räddningstjänsten Syd is the fire service for the municipalities of Burlöv, Eslöv, Kävlinge, Lund, and Malmö. Our mission is to prevent accidents and to quickly and effectively carry out rescue operations of various kinds. Every day, our employees make efforts that impact the lives of others.

In this position, you will belong to Service and Maintenance, a part of the Operations Support unit, which works to support, implement, and develop services to enable the association to conduct an efficient and quality-assured operation. Service and Maintenance is responsible for hose washing, breathing apparatus, training sites, cleaning, storage, operational purchases, and transport vehicles.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a technician with us at Räddningstjänsten Syd, you will work in a team of 5 technicians. The team is collectively responsible for providing the operation with materials for interventions and exercises, such as washing alarm suits and breathing apparatus. This also includes assisting with the relocation of vehicles for service and workshop or with truck transport of materials within the association.

You will also work with most of our tasks within the department, such as filling fire extinguishers, hose washing, and repairing hoses. Assisting in our central storage with packing and unpacking goods or labeling clothes may also occur. The tasks can vary greatly during the weeks depending on the equipment's status, the number of exercises taking place, or the interventions that have occurred during the week.

The position is based at our station in Löddeköpinge and may also work at other locations within the association, e.g., our training site in Malmö as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has completed basic education and has work experience from a technical service profession. This may include experience from warehouses, machine or rubber workshops, car workshops, or similar that the employer deems relevant for the position.

To succeed in the role of technician, we see that you need to be interested in working with technical equipment, as well as possessing good computer skills and being accustomed to working in various IT systems.

A driving license (B) is required for the position, and a C or CE driving license is advantageous. If you have a forklift license for A2 and A4 and/or training for tail lift, this is also advantageous.

You have a high level of service and a good attitude. You are meticulous, responsible, and plan your work. You also need to be flexible and quickly handle situations that require you to switch between different tasks.

In the role of technician at Räddningstjänsten Syd, you will collaborate daily with people inside and outside the organization, which requires you to have good teamwork skills and enjoy working together with others. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required to collaborate within the team and with other partners inside or outside the organization.

Location: At the fire station in Löddeköpinge

The position is a fixed-term full-time employment from May to September.
