VA Engineer to the Water and Sewage Department
Are you a driven and engaged VA engineer who is passionate about developing and improving work with modeling and renewal planning? Do you want to be part of the department's knowledge hub? Then we need you! Welcome to our team at the Water and Sewage Department, Community Building Administration.
With us at the Water and Sewage Department in Nynäshamn, you will play a key role in ensuring a sustainable and well-functioning infrastructure. You will work on establishing the basic structure for, and be involved in, building hydraulic models for our pipeline network. You will also help develop work methods and create a renewal plan based on active asset management. Here you will have the chance to make a difference in a municipality that invests in the future and a pleasant urban environment. Welcome to a team that values collaboration and development!
Job Responsibilities
As a VA engineer, your main task will be to develop a plan for and implement measures for the creation of hydraulic models for the municipal pipeline network. The work includes establishing a structure and strategy for how and what measurement data should be collected, which will then serve as the basis for the hydraulic models. You will then use the models to conduct analyses that can form the basis for decisions regarding the design and expansion of the facility.
Your role also includes developing a renewal plan for the pipeline network based on asset management. You will also assist management with the changes that need to occur in other work methods to enable asset management.
In this role, you will order work from external suppliers, such as consulting services for the development of analyses, reports, investigations, and similar tasks. You will also participate in the preparation of tender documents, design documents, and calculations, and contribute to the overall planning of the department's upcoming renewal work.
In connection with detailed plans, you will periodically represent the Water and Sewage Department as a technical expert. You will support the project and ensure the feasibility of the designed VA solutions, primarily related to the pipeline network but also regarding technical facilities such as pumping stations and pressure boosting.
If necessary, you will assist the VA investigator in practical field investigation work.
