Operations Technician at Östersund Municipality

Within the Waste/Water Sector, we are responsible for the municipality's water and sewage facilities, pipeline networks, waste management, and operation of waste facilities.
The Sewage Facilities Unit plays a key role in driving and developing these essential community functions. Through our work, we contribute to a sustainable society and are also an important part of the municipality's overall work on community safety.

Common Tasks
As an operations technician, you are a key person in the work of operating, maintaining, and developing our sewage treatment plants, pump stations, and vehicle gas facilities. You will be involved in daily operations and actively contribute to the development of the business. The role also involves driving improvement work in existing facilities and participating in new construction and renovation projects.
- Operation, maintenance, and optimization of the municipality's sewage facilities.
- Identification and resolution of technical faults.
- Participation in development projects to improve facilities or build new ones.
- Collaboration with colleagues to advance professional development and promote an inclusive work environment.
- On-call duty may be included in the position.
Your Competence
We are looking for someone with a university degree in process industry, water management, maintenance technology, or equivalent competence.
- A valid driver's license (B) is required.
Meritorious:
- Experience in water management or similar operations
- Knowledge of process technology
- Electrical knowledge
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment
- Computer literacy
- SCADA systems & maintenance systems
The employment requires consent to a security review and placement in security class 3.

About Technical Management
Join us in building important community functions for both our citizens and the municipality's operations. Our work is very broad. We deal with everything from park maintenance, waste management, recycling, and property maintenance to snow removal, land and construction work, water purification, meal preparation, cleaning, and sanitation.
