Automation Engineer at Dynasafe in Karlskoga

Dynasafe in Karlskoga is growing and is now looking for an Automation Engineer with broad technical expertise and a strong interest in advanced facilities within electrical engineering and automation.

In this role, you will be a key player in an international technology company where innovation, quality, and safety are at the center. We are looking for someone who wants to work as an Automation Engineer with advanced and safety-critical systems in an international environment. Travel is included in the position.

About the Role

As an automation engineer, you will work closely with Dynasafe's process, mechanical, and electrical design engineers and be responsible for the entire automation chain – from design and documentation to programming, testing, and commissioning.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating PIDs (Eplan Preplanning) and technical documentation for electrical design.
• Monitoring and leading work during system design, installation, checkout, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Programming, structuring, and reviewing PLC and Safety solutions (Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC, S7).
• Integrating third-party equipment and ensuring functions according to SIL/PL.
• Setting up SCADA environments, control rooms, and OT networks.
• Participating in risk analyses, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and technical support.
• Managing licenses, project servers, and documentation according to applicable standards.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• Engineering degree in automation or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in industry/automation, preferably internationally.
• Very good knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal.
• Experience with Eplan/Eplan Preplanning.
• Structured, driven, and good at collaborating.
• Good communication skills and very good English.
• Ability to travel abroad for periods, sometimes at short notice.

Meritorious: experience in conceptual programming, program architecture, UDTs, Faceplates, Types in TIA Portal.
