Welcome to E.ON – where we ensure safe and sustainable energy supply around the clock.
About us
At E.ON, we drive the energy system forward – every day, all year round. Through stable and responsible operation of our facilities, we deliver district heating and electricity to communities, businesses, and individuals. Our operations are based on technical expertise, collaboration, and long-term responsibility.
We are now looking for a shift technician to join our operations team at Åbyverket in Örebro, where you will be an important part of an experienced shift team that together is responsible for safe and efficient operations.
Your role
As a technician, you will work in continuous shifts, which means working at Åbyverket at various times of the day, as the facility needs to be staffed around the clock. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for ensuring that the facility operates optimally, safely, and with high availability.
The work involves a combination of:
- Patrolling and operational measures in the facility
- Operational monitoring and work in the control room
- Preventive maintenance efforts
- Reporting of operational and maintenance status
- Active work with safety, quality, and environment
Some on-call duty is included in the role, and a B driver's license is required, as the work involves patrolling external facilities.
What is it like with us?
At E.ON, there are good development opportunities. Many start as technicians and gradually move on to roles such as control room technician or control room engineer. We want you to feel welcome and strive to create a safe working environment with meaningful tasks.
We are looking for you
For this role, previous work experience is not a requirement. We welcome both those who have a technician degree or are in the final stages of their education, as well as those who are more experienced. You will be part of a shift team of five people, where collaboration, responsibility, and trust are important to us. The operations organization consists of about 40 employees, the majority of whom work shifts, while others work daytime in areas such as process, electrical, and engineering functions.
We see that you have a genuine desire to understand and work with complex facilities. By taking responsibility for the facilities, you contribute to a safe and stable delivery for our customers.
To succeed in the role of technician, we see that you enjoy shift work and working in a team. You should also be responsible, curious, take initiative, and be able to work independently when required. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to achieving our common goals.
