Here you will work hands-on with complex prototype and series components in modern 5-axis and 4-axis machining machines. About the job as a production engineer

As a production engineer at Epiroc, you will be a key person in production responsible for preparation and commissioning of complex components in new materials. The work includes both prototypes and series production and places high demands on technical competence, precision, and independence.

You will work with complete NC preparation - from CAM programming to finished commissioned component - in close collaboration with regular production engineers and operators. The role also involves ongoing support to production, where quick prioritizations are crucial to minimize downtime.

Examples of tasks:

• Prepare complex prototype and series components in forged steel and ADI cast iron
• NC programming in EdgeCam as well as simulation and verification in Vericut
• Tool selection, creation of instructions, and complete commissioning in 5-axis Heller machines
• Preparation and commissioning of fine machining with tight tolerances in 4-axis Yasda machines
• Support to operators in relevant machine and machine groups
• Close collaboration with production technology and production, with gradually increasing own responsibility

The candidate we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is an experienced and practical production engineer with a solid background in cutting machining and advanced multi-axis milling. You are used to working independently but also thrive in an environment where collaboration and support to production is a natural part of everyday life.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Several years of experience (approximately 3-7 years) as a production engineer
• Documented experience in preparation in 5-axis multi-operation machines as well as fine machining in 4-axis precision machines (Yasda)
• Experience with EdgeCam and NC simulation in Vericut
• Good experience in independently commissioning components in Heller or equivalent 5-axis machines with Siemens control system
• Experience with Fanuc control systems is highly meritorious
• Ability to work structured, accurately, and solution-oriented
• A positive team player who collaborates well with both production engineers and operators

Meritorious:

• Previous experience with Vericut (can also be learned on-site)
• Experience with hardened components and grinding of tolerance-critical diameters

About the employment

You will be employed by Jefferson Wells, part of ManpowerGroup, and work as a consultant at Epiroc in Örebro. The assignment is planned to last for at least 12 months with good opportunities for continued collaboration.
