Property Manager at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand facilities, and client transport.

The Property Department's main task is to ensure the authority's need for local supply. The department shall, in dialogue with the authority's operations, identify needs and ensure that these are met.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In the role of Property Manager, the head of the Property Management section North will be your immediate supervisor, and you will be part of a team covering all of Sweden. Your overall tasks are to support the authority's regions and operational sites in local and property-related issues and ensure that their leased premises are suitable and support the activities conducted in them.

You will be responsible for a geographical area while also being able to take on national assignments related to the Property Department's tasks. Together with your colleagues, immediate supervisor, and the authority's experts, you will work on developing issues related to property management and local supply. Your tasks will also include participating in the development and updating of a management plan and creating conditions for good cooperation with property owners. You will plan, drive, and follow up on investment measures concerning your area of responsibility. You will also be involved in creating structured processes regarding operation, maintenance, and repairs. The position involves some travel within Sweden, starting from your placement in Örebro.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in a relevant field or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• Experience working with property management-related tasks including technology, law, and finance
• Experience leading others in work
• Experience collaborating with others in work
• Experience focusing on relationship building, networking, and partnership development
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Driving license B

It is meritorious if you have:

• Training as a property manager/diploma in property management
• University education or vocational training with a focus on property economics with or without law
• Experience in property management within the public sector
• Experience in local and property projects, ordering work, finance, invoice management, and creating maintenance plans
