Backend Developer with Database Focus

About the Position

As a backend developer with a database focus, you will work in a cross-functional team where you will help build, further develop, and improve our services and systems. You will work with modern technologies and methodologies, where development and maintenance of databases are combined with development, automated testing, CI/CD, and elements of DevOps.

You will work on quality assurance of solutions to ensure they meet both functional and non-functional requirements by continuously working on performance optimization and technical improvements. About You

You are curious, solution-oriented, and have a genuine interest in database development and technology. We are looking for someone who has:

• an academic degree in computer science/IT or equivalent work experience
• several years of relevant experience in database development and data modeling in PostgreSQL or Oracle
• at least one year of software development experience with Java as the primary programming language
• good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is a merit for the position if you have:

• current experience with transaction-intensive systems handling large data volumes
• current experience with version control using tools like Liquibase or Flyway
• current experience with Business Intelligence tools like Power BI
• current experience with container-based technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

The employment is permanent with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. The place of employment is Kalmar or Stockholm. The work may involve business trips, primarily between Kalmar and Stockholm.
