We are now looking for a driven Process Engineer, Machine Vision & Application Engineer, with a passion for automation and computer vision for our innovative operations at Ljunghäll/Gnutti Carlo Group Sweden.
About the role of Machine Vision Engineer
In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain high-tech machine vision systems within our manufacturing process. Your work will directly contribute to optimizing production, increasing quality, and ensuring high-level precision.
Your responsibilities:
Design and implement industrial machine vision solutions, including camera installations and system calibration primarily from a quality perspective.
Develop algorithms and software solutions in Python focusing on robust visual analyses, using tools such as OpenCV, Pytorch, Tensorflow, Yolo.
Integrate and optimize vision systems from everything from RaspberryPI and Sensopart to leading suppliers like Cognex.
Collaborate with automation systems and cloud technologies, including the use of AWS, Kubernetes, and IoT platforms.
Be responsible for CI/CD workflows to ensure continuous and smooth software delivery.
Adapt vision solutions to different production lines and support production/maintenance with technical troubleshooting.
Your profile:
Education in computer science, mechatronics, or equivalent with a focus on automation and robotics.
Practical experience in computer vision and vision systems within industrial production with cameras.
Competence in Linux and Python programming as well as experience with frameworks such as OpenCV, Pytorch, Tensorflow, Yolo.
Collaborate on code and projects in programming teams or in open-source environments with version control such as GitHub.
Experience working with cloud solutions and debugging drivers or kernel modules is a plus.
Good ability to troubleshoot and manage real-time challenges on the production floor.
Ability to collaborate across functional teams and drive tasks independently from idea to solution.
At least 2 years of experience – the most important thing is that you have a strong technical curiosity and a habit of taking responsibility in technical projects.
Good knowledge of English and basic Swedish.
