Description

The Infrastructure Department within the municipal executive office is responsible for the construction, operation, and maintenance of streets, roads, water treatment plants, water pipelines, parks, green areas, and recreational facilities.

We are now looking for seasonal workers for the Starrberget recycling center located at Lyckselevägen 20 in Vännäs municipality.

Responsibilities

You will work to welcome, guide, and inspire our visitors to recycle, reuse, and make sustainable and environmentally conscious choices. You will be an important link in our joint team and work to provide good service to our citizens, customers, and contractors. We want visitors to our recycling center to leave with a positive experience!

In addition to providing service to our visitors, the job includes maintaining the facility and nearby areas, keeping clean and tidy, sorting waste that has ended up incorrectly, and ensuring that different types of waste can be collected and transported to the correct transfer station or treatment facility. The work is primarily conducted outdoors. Other common tasks include marking and repairing waste bins and simple administration.

We need seasonal workers from May to October.

Qualifications

The work is varied and requires a flexible attitude and the ability to work at a fast pace. You need to be service-oriented and act professionally in all situations. You have a very good ability to collaborate, good self-awareness, and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback. Heavy lifting may occur, so you should have good physical ability.

A completed upper secondary education is required, as well as a B driver's license and experience driving a car with a manual transmission. You must have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Experience in the environmental and recycling industry and sorting hazardous waste is an advantage. Experience in other service professions is also an advantage.

Conditions

Fixed-term employment, start date by agreement.

Employment period: May-October.

The work is scheduled for five to six days a week, and some shifts on Saturdays are included.
