About the position

We are looking for a dedicated and self-driven facility technician with broad technical competence to join our Facility Department. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the operation and availability of all SRV's facilities through preventive and corrective maintenance. The work is carried out in close collaboration with both internal functions and external suppliers, and you will also be involved in planning and developing investments and maintenance strategies.

As a facility technician, you will report to the head of the Facility Department, which is part of the Treatment Division. Your workplace will be SRV's waste facility in Gladö, Huddinge (south of Stockholm). Currently, access to a personal vehicle is required to reach Gladö. The work covers all SRV's facilities in Södertörn.

Your main responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SRV's facilities

• Collaborate and cooperate with internal functions across SRV

• Engage with external parties such as consultants, suppliers, and contractors

• Identify maintenance needs and assist in the development of investment plans

• Be an active part of the work with operational and maintenance plans

Is this you?

• Education: Upper secondary education with subsequent vocational training in operation and maintenance, facilities, or equivalent practical experience deemed relevant by the employer.

• Experience: Practical experience in operation and maintenance within technical operations. Experience from facilities or production is an advantage.

• Technical competence: Good IT and computer skills as well as experience working in operational and maintenance systems.

• Language: Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written.

• Driver's license: A valid B driver's license is required; a C driver's license is an advantage.

As a person, you are driven, self-sufficient, and able to work in periods of high tempo. You are structured, results-oriented, and have good planning skills. You are flexible and adaptable, with broad technical competence that allows you to handle and solve various technical challenges in everyday life.

Furthermore, you have excellent collaboration skills and thrive in a role with many points of contact, both internally and externally.

About SRV

SRV Recycling AB is a limited company owned by five municipalities in Södertörn: Huddinge, Haninge, Botkyrka, Salem, and Nynäshamn. The municipalities have tasked SRV with managing the collection and handling of household waste. The operations include the collection and processing of recyclable materials, fuel, and waste, as well as landfilling. We currently have about 270 employees and receive approximately 200,000 tons of waste each year, with a turnover of 552 million SEK (2023). SRV collects waste from around 154,000 households in the owner municipalities. The company also has 3,000 business and organizational customers – ranging from small and large companies to housing associations, preschools, and organizations.

SRV Recycling has a large recycling facility at Gladö Kvarn in Huddinge. The facility is the largest in Sweden by area. We also operate seven recycling centers, primarily for households, within the five owner municipalities.
