Ovzon works with satellite communication in some of the world's most demanding environments. To support the business, we are now looking for an IT Infrastructure Technician who wants to work practically with networks, installation, and operations – in both office environments and more complex lab environments. The role is suitable for you who enjoy working closely with technology, making things work in practice, and developing long-term within IT infrastructure.

This is a role for you who thrive on practical work, pulling cables, installing equipment, configuring networks, and solving problems on-site – and who wants to build a deep technical understanding of more complex IT infrastructure environments over time.

In this role, you will be part of a smaller team and support IT environments in the office, both in Sweden and internationally. Unlike traditional office networks, you will work with customized, security-critical, and non-standardized network environments, where needs must be adapted and solutions often require independent thinking and technical finesse.

• Support for end-users
• Pulling and structuring network cables and ensuring functioning installations
• Planning and sizing networks (e.g., number of switches, capacity, and structure)
• Configuring and managing Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls
• Working with servers, network equipment, and firewalls
• Ensuring that network solutions meet IT and cybersecurity requirements
• Supporting and following up external IT providers for office networks
• Working with more complex lab networks and operations environments
• Setting up and managing virtual environments in Azure when needed
• Participating in work with networks in international environments

This is a role for you who want to grow long-term. In the long run, there is an opportunity to take on greater responsibility within IT infrastructure – for example, towards a more architectural or overarching role, as both you and the organization develop.

• Have an educational background or equivalent work experience in relevant areas such as IT support, network technology, IT infrastructure
• Are technically inclined, which can be demonstrated through previous work experience or hobbies
• Have a good understanding of IT infrastructure, network design, and operational environments
• Have very good knowledge of Swedish and English

As a person, you are a practical problem-solver with a good sense of service. You are social, helpful, and responsible, enjoy supporting others, and readily step in when something is urgent. You drive your work independently and enjoy making things work in reality.

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from Ovzon and our side is that after 12 months you will be directly employed by the client.
